I am pleased to share with you the 2015 Chancellor’s Annual Report.
This year’s report reflects upon the traditions we build and share together at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. There are so many reasons to be proud of the Volunteer spirit. Our decades-long community partnerships have positively influenced thousands of lives. More students than ever are exploring hands-on problem solving through the new Experience Learning initiative. And our campus continues to transform with new modern academic and residential facilities that will support the needs of our faculty, staff, and students.
The highlight of my year was the Big Orange Bus Tour. We spent a week traveling across the state of Tennessee, meeting with prospective students, business leaders, and alumni. I had the privilege of giving out the first acceptance letter for fall 2016 to a student in Kingsport.
Our hard work shines through with the progress we’ve made, and we continue to strive on our journey to become a Top 25 public research university. The impact Volunteers have on the state, the nation, and the world is immeasurable. I hope you will take a moment to read the stories within this report. They will make you feel proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer.
