Bonuses for Employees with Less than Three Years of Full-time Service

SUBJECT: Bonuses for Employees with Less than Three Years of Full-time Service

I am pleased to inform you that Knoxville campus employees with less than three years of service will receive a special bonus of $350 on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006. This one-time payment is made possible through the mid-year compensation plan approved by the Board of Trustees in November.

The payment will be provided to regular full-time employees who were hired on or before Sept. 30, 2006.

As you know, the General Assembly this year authorized a bonus for all state employees who have met longevity requirements of three or more years of service as of Sept. 30, 2006. Those one-time payments were issued to employees in October. However, because we value the contributions of every employee, we want to reward those who've not yet reached the longevity mark. The Payroll Office will distribute check advices to this group of employees on Thursday.
