Like all of you, I am deeply saddened by the destruction that occurred in Tennessee during the terrible storms that struck our region earlier this week.

I know that our thoughts are with all who have suffered, including many in our campus community who have been directly affected by this tragedy.

In the coming days, I ask that we all do as much as possible to help those who have suffered losses. I also encourage faculty, staff and students to accommodate the needs of those on our campus who are dealing with the aftermath of this natural disaster.

I've asked our senior staff to reach out to our colleagues at Union University to assist them in this time of need. I encourage you all to help those affected by this enormous tragedy.
