Hardy Liston Jr. Symbol of Hope

The Hardy Liston Jr. Symbol of Hope Award goes to faculty, staff, or friends of the university who promote cultural diversity and enhance UT’s educational mission.

Dr. Terry Esper has been an instructor in the Business and Logistics Department for four years. His balance between the classroom and the general campus community is proven by his participation in many minority student efforts, including a presentation at Calling All Brothers, supporting the UT NAACP, and his constant attendance at Minority Student Affairs activities. His students call him “focused, accessible, knowledgeable, an excellent role model and mentor, and a great asset to the university community.”
