
Success in Multidisciplinary Research Award
Nomination Deadline: February 7, 2012
The Office of Research is soliciting nominations for the 2012 Success in Multidisciplinary Research Award. One award will be made to a successful multidisciplinary research team at the Chancellor’s Honors Banquet on April 9, 2012. In addition, the recipient team will receive a $5,000 monetary award. The Awards Committee of the Research Council will screen all nominations and make recommendations to Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Greg Reed.
Eligibility is limited to multidisciplinary research teams composed of faculty who are located in more than one academic college, have formed a team, and have succeeded in gaining external resources and/or external recognition for their multidisciplinary research. Nominees must have a minimum of three years of service on the faculty of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Each academic department or budgetary unit, including research centers, may be the nominator of one team, sending the name and credentials to the Awards Committee. The nominations must include the nomination cover sheet and supporting documentation describing the team’s accomplishments.
