Buildings Named to Honor UT History
Our new residence hall, now under construction, has been named the Fred D. Brown Residence Hall—making it the first building on our campus to be named for an African-American leader. Brown created the Office of Diversity Programs in the College of Engineering and his work has had a significant impact on the engineering profession.
It’s just one of several buildings we’ve named or renamed to honor our university’s rich history.
