Chancellor Plowman:
We are Volunteers.
That means something. It means something important. Service and leadership. That’s our tradition. And it’s who we are at the University of Tennessee.
If you learn one thing on this campus, I hope it’s that the willingness to act is what makes us different.
Vice Chancellor Carilli:
“Your true birthplace is not where you are born but where you discover who you really are.”
With this quote in mind I say to you, the Class of 2023, welcome to the place of your birth.
