Thanks for Helping Protect Our Community
Dear colleagues,
As we near the end of our first week of Phase 2, I want to thank everyone for their cooperation and willingness to adapt. It is not always comfortable to take on new habits and ways of conducting our work, and I appreciate everyone who is doing their part to help protect one another and our community.
We are continuing to move forward with decisions and logistics in preparation for the fall semester.
As you know, we have adjusted class timetables to allow longer breaks between classes in order to accommodate social distancing. Throughout the next few weeks, courses will be assigned new class times, and we have asked students to wait until this process is complete before amending their course schedules. In the coming days we will also roll out training for instructors to help prepare them to teach face-to-face classes in this new environment. The training will focus on health and safety in the classroom.
Over the next several weeks, you can expect more information on our testing plan, which will help us identify and isolate COVID-19 cases as they arise, and our plans around dining, events, and other topics.
We will continue to keep you updated as decisions are made and implemented, so please watch your email inbox.
