Location of 2021 Commencement Ceremonies
Transcript
Hi Vols! It’s hard to believe we’re almost half-way through this semester.
You’re getting ready for mid-terms, so I hope you’re studying hard. But I have some exciting news for you today. First of all, we’re in the middle of a pandemic, but we’ve been planning your commencement.
And I want to announce to you the dates, May 7th, 8th, and 9th. Your commencement, spring 2021, is taking place on those three days.
We’ll have five services, including one special service for graduate and professional students, where they’ll be hooded.
I’m so excited! We’ve learned to do a lot of things during the pandemic, learned to do things differently. Including commencement. So we’re having commencement, we’ll still have some of the restrictions that we’ve been having, such as facial coverings, social distance, we can’t cram millions of people in one place.
But today, I want to tell you exactly where commencement is gonna happen. Your spring commencement is taking place right here. I’m so excited, can you believe it! Neyland Stadium, that’s right!
We’re doing your commencement right here at Neyland Stadium, you’ll be down here on the grass, your parents and friends will be in the stands, and we’re going to celebrate you and all that you’ve accomplished by completing your degree requirements and becoming a Vol for Life. I’m excited, I can’t wait to see you. Look for your email, there’ll be more instructions coming soon with all the details. This is going to be great.
GO VOLS!
