Next Steps in UTIA–UTK Reunification

December 12, 2019

To sustain the positive momentum created by the UTIA–UTK Reunification Committee 2019 report, we have made a commitment to establish working groups composed of faculty, staff, students, and administrators. These groups are focused in five areas: student services, research, academic affairs and shared governance, communications and marketing, and finance and administrative processes.

Each working group’s final report is due to us by March 16, 2020. We will use these reports to create a document reflecting our shared understanding of collaborative structures and processes going forward. Working groups may also be called upon throughout the year to recommend solutions to issues that may arise in their respective areas during the reunification process.

A complete list of working group members and each group’s charge are available on the Transparent UT website.

We look forward to sharing the results of their work in the spring.
