Campus Resources for Those Affected by Middle Tennessee Tornados
Dear Volunteer family,
As you may know, a series of tornados hit Middle Tennessee early this morning. We have spent the morning checking on students and employees in Nashville and the surrounding area to make sure they are OK. We also know that many of our students from Middle Tennessee are worried about loved ones and friends, particularly as cell towers and servers are down.
Any student who needs help can access resources through the Office of the Dean of Students or by calling 865-974-HELP. Employees can access resources through the Office of Human Resources or by calling 865-946-CARE. While we are experiencing some disruption in phone service, campus-to-campus calls are working. Emergency calls to the UT Police Department are also working, and you can contact UTPD for nonemergency inquiries through the LiveSafe app.
As we learn more in the coming days about the needs of those affected, we will find ways for our Volunteer community to help and support our fellow Tennesseans. We commit to sharing information on opportunities to assist.
