Update to the Board on Fall Reopening Plans
Dear colleagues,
Earlier today, I joined chancellors from the other UT campuses in providing an update on our fall reopening plans to the Board of Trustees. While campus life will be different this year than it has been in the past, all of us remain committed to supporting you, our faculty and staff, and giving our students an experience that will help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Much of today’s presentation focused on operational details such as new precautions and protocols in our classrooms, dining facilities, residence halls, and common spaces. You can watch archived video of today’s meeting, as well as tomorrow’s full board meeting, on the system website.
Above all, we know that wearing face coverings and maintaining physical distance are the best tools we have to keep our community safe and keep us on campus through the semester. Vols help Vols, and these efforts are effective in reducing the spread of the virus only if everyone commits to them.
Thank you for doing your part.
