Adapting to Challenges
Dear colleagues,
Over the past week, we have seen a continued rise in the number of COVID-19 cases on campus as well as an increase in the number of people in quarantine and self-isolation.
We continue to monitor our campus data along with key metrics reported by the county and state health departments.
We hope to see these increases slow; otherwise we will experience a strain on our resources. We have been increasing our capacity, especially in supporting our contact tracing and housing teams, and are in constant contact with state and local officials to ensure that our practices are supporting our needs. We continue to adapt to the challenges and adjust procedures accordingly. We have said from the beginning that we will be flexible, and I am committed to keeping you updated as we make improvements that help us operate through this pandemic.
I remain confident in the processes and infrastructure we have in place to manage these cases and keep our campus as safe as possible. I am especially encouraged that the number of active cases among our employees remains very low. Please continue to remain safe and vigilant, and thank you for doing your part.
