Successes Fuel Excitement Across Big Orange Family
The momentum we are building on Rocky Top is creating excitement all across the state and beyond. As I’ve travelled across the region meeting with alumni and supporters, everyone I meet wants to talk about our successes on the field and off.
From new records in enrollment, student success, and research expenditures to the individual success stories I get to share, there has never been a better time to be a Volunteer.
We are a university on the rise. Thousands of alumni, friends, and fans all over the country are cheering us forward. Particularly as we celebrate Homecoming this week, I hope you all feel that support.
TRANSCRIPT
Over the last few weeks, I have traveled to Memphis, Baton Rouge, Birmingham and New York City, where I met with alumni, supporters, and Vol fans.
Everyone I talked to in every city I visited told me how energized they are by the momentum we are building here on Rocky Top. They are all proud of this university. And so am I.
We are matching wins on the field with wins off the field. And that is generating goodwill and support across the country.
We’re hitting records in enrollment, student success, alumni giving state support, research expenditures, and much more.
I am taking this message all over the region, telling people about the Volunteer experience we’re creating for students, the critical discoveries we’re making in our labs, and the invaluable relationships we are building in communities all over the state.
Sharing your stories and successes is one of the best parts of my job. But I also want to bring back to campus all the pride and excitement I get to see in Vol Nation everywhere.
I hope you feel that support from thousands of Vols all over the world who are cheering you on.
I hope you will join me in taking a moment to appreciate and celebrate how lucky we all are to be part of this Volunteer family.
