Welcome Back Vols
Nothing makes Rocky Top feel more like home than welcoming everyone back to campus in the fall.
Over the past two weeks, I have met families moving their students into residence halls. I’ve greeted new Volunteers participating in student success programs and talked with academic leaders about our plans for the year ahead. I have been inspired by the energy and excitement of everyone I’ve encountered on campus.
There’s never been a better time to be a Volunteer. We have built tremendous momentum in recent years—doubling our research awards, improving our graduation rates, and earning accolades for our academic excellence.
All our success is due to the talent, dedication, and hard work of our students, faculty, and staff, and I am grateful for all your contributions.
As we start a new academic year, I hope you are as excited as I am about where we are headed and the possibilities ahead.
Students, this is a time to recommit to your academic goals and embrace new opportunities. I hope you forge deep friendships, discover new interests, and take advantage of the resources available to you.
Faculty and staff, thank you for all you’ve done to prepare our campus for the new semester and help our students succeed. Your work makes a difference, not only on campus but also in our community and beyond.
This is going to be another great year on Rocky Top. Go Vols!
