Investing in Online Education

When Arizona State University President Michael Crow first suggested joining forces to boost online learning offerings at our universities, I asked him, “What would that look like?” His reply was a hopeful, “Let’s find out together.”
That conversation led me to San Diego, California, this week for the ASU + GSV Summit. President Crow and I had a chance to discuss this new partnership and its potential in more detail.
At ASU and UT, we share a mission to expand education access and create opportunities for the people we serve. This cooperation focuses on using digital tools to make education more accessible and adaptable, reaching more students in ways that fit their lives today.
We’re choosing to collaborate rather than compete, believing we can accomplish more together than separately. This approach is crucial at a time when educational needs are quickly evolving.
I’m excited about what this partnership will bring, and I look forward to sharing more with you as it unfolds. I hope you will read more about this groundbreaking partnership here.
