Plowman Looks to Next Five Years in KNS Interview

October 1, 2024

Donde Plowman stands behind a podium as she delivers the sixth annual Flagship Address at the University of Tennessee.

Chancellor Donde Plowman said she plans to spend the next five years building on UT’s national reputation for student success, meeting the state’s workforce needs, and nurturing trust with Tennesseans across the state.

The comments were part of an interview with the Knoxville News Sentinel ahead of her sixth annual Flagship Address. The news story noted her commitment to serve another five years as chancellor of the state’s flagship land-grant university.

“We have to internalize the university we are becoming and match ourselves with it, because we’re becoming this place where everyone wants to be here,” Plowman told the newspaper.
